Default Remote window rolldown

Anyone else notice that sometimes when holding the unlock button on the remote, that the windows will only roll down about 3 inches? Sometimes it goes all the way down, sometimes just a little. If I then press and hold the unlock button a second time, the window will do down the rest of the way.

I know the car is designed to do this, but I'm not sure why it isnt going all the way down.

The signal from the remote keyfob is being interfered with so the car doesn't recognize a constant signal. I have this issue all the time as well. A new battery in the keyfob may help.

The car/keyfobs are brand new...shouldnt need a new battery already. And I'm about 10 feet away from the car with no objects in the way when it happens. I could understand if I was walking past other objects, or if my finger slipped off the button, but neither of these are the case.

Hmmm...an 06. This seems like a fluke. Does it do it every time you try? If so, take it to the dealer and they'll fix it under warranty.

Nope, not every time. Maybe about 30%.

When I'm 50-75 feet away I've noticed the same effect - that the windows both go down about 3-4". Once I get closer and the signal is 100% they'll go all the way down for me.

I'll try doing it when I'm closer and see if that helps. Its wierd. If I'm @ 25 feet away (just a guess), they will go down 3 or so inches. If I wait a second, and do it again (without getting closer), it will do down the rest of the way.

Oh well, not that big of a deal. Just something that I was curious about.

happens to me once in a while too...seems random, sometimes i'll be 30 or so feet away and they go down all the way just fine, sometimes i could be standing at the trunk and they only go down a couple inches..... its kidna annoying, but i don't worry about it too much...if i took it in to get fixed, they'd prolly just mess the car up even worse, lol :S
