Quick hp questions
I am interested in buying a 350z. I know that the connecting rods and pistons are weak i wanted to know how much rwhp would i be able to push if these two items were replaced. And what modificatons to engine internals would i need to rech the 700rwhp mark in 350. And i know i will need a new fuel system thanks
your responses will determine weather or not i get a Z
EDIT: also what modifications would the transmission need

700 HP just from internals...not gonna happen. You'll need to replace your internals, get a turbo or supercharger, H/E, intake if you go S/C, ECU, etc etc...If you plan on hitting 700, you should plan on investing a lot of money and time. You shouldn't let these things cause you to not get a Z, you'll be looking at the same thing with almost any car. I got a friend that just changed top and bottom internals on a new Viper, and he's pushing close to 650, but he's got over 120K invested in the thing.
Do you need 700 HP? Really think about this before you jump on it. I see you've got 4 posts and that doesnt mean a lot, for all I know you could have 50 grand ready to blow on this car after purchasing it, but like I said, ask yourself do you really need 700 hp. If its your daily ride, chances are you dont need it, if you've never driven a new Z yet, go ahead, then ask yourself how much more power you'd like. You might surprise yourself with your own answer. All in all, you'll probably say a bolt on turbo kit or supercharger might just cut it enough. But to build an overall well rounded 700 hp Z (brakes, wheels, drivetrain, bottom end, tune, head work, and turbo kit) plan on spending around 35 large.

JE pistons, make really good hardware for crankcases. Their pistons and piston heads are made for competition - racing.
The other thing you might want to do is to bore out your heads to lower compression if you're going to run in the 700 WPH mark.
Good luck,
cheers!
