Default Oil pressure gauge

I turned my car on today and my oil pressure gauge goes all the way to the right past 120 psi and sticks there. Happened all 3 times today. Anyone else have this problem before? I assume it's only the gauge, car ran fine but is there anything else I should worry about or is this fairly common. It's a 04

Does it go back down after driving for a few minutes?

It is normal for the pressure to be high when first turning on the car. It does not go down until the engine has warmed up a little.
