Serious question, would love an insight into the mind of a person who loves the 350z but puts <30k miles on it in 5+ yerars.
I know with me it's that much longer i wont have a car payment. I have a $2000 Daily Driver car that gets 35MPG. So now when the Z is payed off i wont have so many miles on it that i'll feel the need to run out and buy a new car and start the car payment cycle all over again! And i still drive mine daily. Just not to work cause it's pointless. My ride to work isn't a car show, so i have no problem leaving her in the garage till i get home. It's not a ferrari, but if you had the opportunity to lengthen the life of your Z by giving her a lil down time, wouldn't you? And by keeping it in the garage, it's that much less wear on the paint and interior. You paid good money for your cars, why not make them last?

P.S. gotta ask...how old are you?

I feel the same way, except for me its the peace of mind of not caring if I park next to that junker honda or that huge *** farm truck. They can door ding the **** out of my daily driver for all I care. its also not caring about speed bumps, not caring about pot holes, not caring about the idiot who doesnt look before changing lanes and may swipe me, or a semi that has a blow out and rubber comes flying, or the huge rocks they throw up often. Its not caring about if I dont have time to do lunch and have to stop by some fast food and eat in my car to make it to a meeting. Its being able to haul any dirty cargo without fear of my interior getting screwed up.

Its just a Z, but I am happy that I can keep it in the garage until I really want to drive it for pleasure and not because I have to.

my 2003 has right around 60k now, so it sees a lot of love, and it still looks brand new.

Feel the same way, but instead, with my GTO. Although the part about driving it for pleasure..it almost seems like weekends are not enough! But I sure do have something to look forward to at the end of the week.

What do you DD?

I drove the hell out of it so the engine itself was kinda weak but other than that the clutch and tranny held up fine. When I did the swap I did the engine, tranny and clutch in one shot.
