I had a few expected repairs that had to be done last week. At 214k, I had to replace rear wheel bearings, throw-out bearing -(which lead to the rest of what you would replace) clutch plate, pressure plate, pilot bearing, and most interesting...the sleave that the throw-out bearing rides on. I also had my first issues with overheating. I'm guessing that it started with the thermostat that caused the crack in the radiator, (plastic top and bottom). Now I have new belts, hoses, water pump, radiator and thermostat. Still...total cost for parts and labor under $2k. Suspension is next and looking at another $2000. Sure beats car payments which I haven't had for almost four years now.
Wow that's awesome the vq in some what stock form looks like it can last a decent amount of time
My 03 6 speed has 90,000 original everything and still purs , with the occasional cylinder 2 misfire !
I'm surprised myself! It's nice to know the VQ can last, its pretty much stock minus a intake and test pipes, other than that, regular maintenance does the VQ very well
