Don't get the Z, the body lines don't flow, it's not torquey enough, but the paint is indestructable!

How long do you want to have the car. I'm running into problems because I want to own the car for 7 years or so, but when I look at how much different my life will be in 7 years, the Z does not fit. Also I play a lot of golf and putting clubs in the Z sucks. Would much rather have the TL.

I made some very good stock picks for my mom and pops, so it's just a small side reward But i'm taking over all my payments once i get a real day job in a couple months anways :P

The Z is drop dead gorgeous, and there's not denying it. I intend to finance the car and like to switch it up once payments are due (5 yrs). But if i lock in on the Z now, i'm afraid i might miss out on a lot when the new G35 coupe comes out next March, which will have 320-330 hps! Hmmm.....I hate my RSX, what a POS.

To wait or not to wait, that is da question! I will drive both now and see how i'll feel.

If you care about back seats, and concerned about a new G35 on the horizon, then the Z is probably not for you. You will probably regret it in less than a year.

"i'm afraid i might miss out on a lot when the new G35 coupe comes out next March"

Miss out?
To some people, it' what the 350z DOESN'T have that makes it so appealing. My Z has no backseat, (on top of that) no B.S. stock electronics, no TCS, no VDC, no powerseats, no seat heaters, no side airbags, and is an earlier 03-05 model light weight....exactly how I like it.
Had I waited, I would have "missed out" too.

With a Z, you either know you want it or you don't. Like a gf, wife you'll have to look past it's looks one day and appreciate everything else about it.

If you actually like the way the new TT looks, then you should get that.

(2) s2k; love the exterior looks, small & cramped, convertible is sweet, interior a bit dated, price is right. will someone 6' tall have problems? holds depreciation well.

(3) new g35 coupe; arriving in spring '07 (have to wait so long ><), looks are sweet, interior is sweet, price when it comes out will be steep, thus timing is bad.

(4) new TT; sweet in every way, price might be a bit more than i want to spend. afraid of maintence costs.

(5) Acura TL; good price, good performance. 4 drs not too sporty.

Thanks

I hate how these kids think that graduating high school is a big accomplishment that would require an expensive gift. To me, graduating high school is a given, i did it for myself and only myself. I say keep your RSX beacuse a car is the last thing you need to think about if your getting ready for college. Think about tuition, books, housing, and so forth.

You can fit golfclubs in a Z. The G even has instructions on how to fit them. Just take out the drives and put them perpindicular to the swaybar.

For me personally, I looked at the S2K. They were very hard to find and most ended up more expensive than the Z. Also, they have NOTHING down low in the RPMs, not to mention that digital tachometer pisses me off. Hence why I chose the Z. Get the Z now while you are still a kid and get the more practical TL when you are older and have a wife+kids. Thats why I bought the Z at 23, because if I don't know, may never 'til I am much older or can afford two cars (one DD and 1 fun car).

A $35000+ is a small reward????
The only car my parents ever bought me was my first, a 1984 Escort, and it was only 500 bucks!
You roll an RSX right now and you call it a POS, Honestly I dont think anyone has ever taught you the value of a dollar, and how to appreciate what you have, I would have given my right leg to have an RSX in highschool. Hell I almost bought one instead of the Z they are not cheap or ****ty cars by any means. GOD I WISH LIFE WAS HANDED TO ME ON A SILVER PLATTER!!

alright. im going to lay this down as gently as i can. a car is not the end all be all of all economic accomplishments. everyone who hates because some kid gets a car needs to calm down. nobody is getting "jacked" of their accomplishment just because he drives a nice car. the true test comes later. mom + dad may get them a car but what about a house? a living? starting a family? all these are true tests of maturity and adult-hood. seriously a car is only a small piece of the puzzle. what about the guy who drives an avalon and lives in a 7 digit house? everyone just needs to chill and focus on helping him choose a car. ultimately, i'd say go and test drive them, come up with some questions and comment back here.

It depends on what you graduate from. If you graduate from college: 350z. If you graduate from h.s: toyota corolla....Junior high: Bicycle for you.

I'm bored so I'll comment. Don't buy a Z. You'll want something to haul your friends in, want to go golfing with, probably a back seat for hauling other crap in, and the Z is not going to work for you. The S2K even worse. I'm sure you want to look cool driving around a sports car and such, but it is a sports car, which means it would be perfect for you if you had come on the boards asking about handling, engine response, performance mods, etc.. but you didn't. You probably want lots of cupholders and heated leather, and navigation to boot. And the Z is rear wheel drive so lord knows you'll probably come back and post asking about how deadly a Base model will be if you get one. Just get the TL.
