hahaha, Holy ****, what has my thread turned into, lol. I obviously knew this forum will point to purchasing Z or G, but all I wanted to get was the point of view of Z/G owners of those other cars and why they switched from those, that's all. It has nothing to do w/ who buys my car or how it's attained.

Btw, likely purchasing a Z once the '07 comes out.

I was simply getting at the point that theres a difference from what the original post was vs. "HEY LOOK EVERYONE, I'M 16 AND I GOT A Z. I'M > YOU", and that his circumstances and your circumstances are nothing to cross at.
Would this thread have been just as effective if it were titled "I am buying a sports car and need some input on some of the pro's/con's of each"? Yep. Does the fact that mom and dad are buying it for him because he managed to accomplish something that 90% of the teens in America did too matter to the question at hand? Nope. The title of the thread and some portion of the post were flaunting mom and dads money. My parents taught me early on to be proud of what I earned, thankful for what I have, and humble about all of it. That concept is largely lost today. This thread is one perfect example.

I shall reword the title of thread as by kcobean. The word "gift" just gives off the wrong vibe and many people are just quick assume things of other people's circumstances and all this hatin' starts and snowballs into personal attacks.

But anycase, i didn't start this thread with the intention to flaunt anything but simply ask for some pros/cons of cars *shrug*

I find it funny why some people can't take their rightful fortunes and accept and imbrace it for what it is rather than having to impose their "way" of obtaining something materialistic. It's as if there is some form of insecurity and feel the need for others to go through the path they walked to obtain the things they did. Like someone else said, just take pride in what you personally accomplished and be with it, people will recognize it when they see it.

All I wanted was some advice!

lol...ahh well. i tried. i just don't think theres any way to safely put "graduation" and "gift" in the same sentence in these forums. but good luck man. live up to w/e choice you make, it'll certainly be a mark of your character. as per the circumstances, thats all i see it as. circumstance. i don't see n8236 lashing out at anyone. maybe subconciously (good god)? but i digress...

anyway, on w/ the comments.

If it's bad to drive a Z at the age of 16, this guy must be crazy to drive this.

And yes.. he crashed that car on highway going 200 miles/hr and he was 44 years old..

you've been on the forums longer than me and even I know don't post something that has been beaten to death and never state you are getting your Z as a gift.
Highschool graduation is over rated I didn't expect anything more than just a dinner and some cash from relatives.
