Default Graduating, want advise on choosing my gift

Graduating in a few weeks and likely to purchase a car soon. Here are the choices:

(1) 350z; love the way it looks, not to fond of interior, possibly new Z arriving in late '09. Price is right. backseats would be a plus.

(2) s2k; love the exterior looks, small & cramped, convertible is sweet, interior a bit dated, price is right. will someone 6' tall have problems? holds depreciation well.

(3) new g35 coupe; arriving in spring '07 (have to wait so long ><), looks are sweet, interior is sweet, price when it comes out will be steep, thus timing is bad.

(4) new TT; sweet in every way, price might be a bit more than i want to spend. afraid of maintence costs.

(5) Acura TL; good price, good performance. 4 drs not too sporty.

Thanks

With your height I wouldn't go for the S2K as it is small inside.

Just my past experience I would stay away from VW/Audi as the electrical quality of these cars are crap. Always getting check engine lights and if you ever plan to mod the car just hang it up.

The G35 is a nice ride personally I would take a Z over the G obviously for many reasons like the Brembo brakes and overall performance of the car, but maybe your not a performance guy.

I'm not too much on sedans unless it's a sports sedan like an Evo or Sti so I can't really comment on the TL except that you will have a lot more room and probably better gas mileage than any of the other cars.

before i bought my z last october, i test drove a S2K and loved it, but it was a bit cramped. Redline is at 9K but it seemed to lack power in low revs. the recent g35 is nice if you want more of a luzury Vs sports. TL was nice, alot of power, but in the end i fell in love with the z. It took forever to get a test drive. the dealer had a bunch of punk kids coming in every day trying to test the z just for kicks.

Err... This has been debated before but the Z vs. G performance differences are negligable

i looked at the s2k, Z, and a sti, i'm 6'1" and yeah the s2k was cramped but had plenty leg room, more than i thought anyway. the sti was nice, but i really didnt want to play the whole boy ricer game again (i had a civic w/ a b18 swap and mods when i went to UTSA). the Z is a car that you dont have to get ride of when a new model comes out, the keep thier sexy for a long time. i still still find some z31's that look killer. so you know your car will still look good 20 yrs from now.

youre not a fan of the STi?

seems with the cars your looking at, that would be a top contender...

im strugglingh with a similar choice right now...

Z (top choice right now and will most likely win)
STi (an obvious second choice)
RSX type S (only a contender due to mileage)

and if you think that the STI is a boy ricer car (its not), then how bout the Legacy GT..AWD, 265 HP..very quick and a sweet low pro hood scoop..

Kids these days would not be caught dead in a porsche.. ask your parents for a Lambo or a Ferarri.

Lord knows what would happen if they actually purchased a car on thier own

(2) s2k; 6 foot is right around when you start getting in trouble. Yes, you would not be very comfortable on long rides. Various tall people as well as myself have commented on this.

(3) new g35 coupe; Current g35 or Z. Its not a present if you wait.

(4) new TT: Z wins in road tests, looks, maintenance costs, aftermarket support, but loses in quality of interior.

(5) Acura TL: FWD + 4 doors, Nuff said.
