Default side curtain airbag?

okay so im in the market this month for a z...i found what i wanted but i couldnt get a price....the saleman 1) knew nothing about the z or waht he was talking about and 2) started giving me figures that were beyond my imagination, i think he thought me to be an idiot because im asian...well now iits hard to find a z that i like solely because of side curtain airbags...im starting to think ill just not care for them, btu thats why i posted this...

what do you gusy think, side airbags ues or no? do you ahve them? care for them? think itll be as useful safety wise as its should be?....im becoming less caring since the z itself has many various problems...maybe the airbags wont even work

thansk in advance guys

with all the crazy *** drivers on the roads today, I want them. but the real question is what are you gonna be doing with the car? if its gonna be a track car you might not want'm since you'll want to avoid weight.

Yup. I have them and can't imagine having ordered mine without them. They are a very cheap insurance in my opinion.

Exclamation

It's a safety item that should be standard. Both of my cars have them.

I got them in my 05 Base. Pretty rare option on the cheapest car trim but I wouldn't want it any other way now that they've got airbags pretty much figured out
Waited 16 weeks for my car but it's got eveything I want and nothing I didn't want (except the problems that have come up since it got here )
Don't feel trapped into buying what the salesman can find you, order one if you are getting new!

WTF? That dork must have been living under a rock, because the ongoing stereotype for "asians" are, that we are all rich geniuses

Seriously tho about the airbags, The Z feels and probably is that much safer with 6 of them

Good luck in your search.

Crash tests on like vehicles with and without side curtain airbags show definitively that having them is better and safer.

my 03 base came with side curtain airbags as the only option besides the chrome kick plates. Don't drive a car w/o them or wear a motorcycle helmet....good luck.

What's an extra $550 (invoice price...which is all you should pay for them since they should be a standard feature anyway) versus the value of your life? Hopefully it's far less than a drop in the bucket. Once I had it in my head that side and curtain airbags were a good idea, I had to have them. And if all goes well, I will never need them. That's what insurance is all about. If it means you have to wait a few months, it's worth it. And if you are trading a car in, just negotiate your deal now and make sure they honor their current trade-in appraisal for your old car when it comes time to actually trade it in later.
