Default mpg competition

to those who wanna join. gas is way too expensive so right now im goin for the best gas milage. my mpg gauge thing is at 24.3 mpg right now. i started the meter when i filled up and i am now at bout half a tank. whoever gets the best mileage wins the comp. the people who commute on the freeway everyday should win. im jus interested in seeing whats the best someone can get. so from fillup to empty lets see who gets the best milage.
NO CHEATING.

IF U WIN U GET A SUPER BIG INTERNET HIGH FIVE

Default 30-32

Last weekend I drove from PA to NY, and was getting 30-32 mpg at 65-66 mph with cruise control set. Surprising but true.

edit: I forgot to mention that I had the top down, therefore A/C off. Don't know if that is important.

This is what I got on the 15N from San Diego to Lancaster I agree 100%, when I see all these Cali bimbos screaming around at 90+ I just laugh, all the way to the bank!

Yep I go with the A/C off all the way, if I get hot I open a window real quick to air out.

i dont know how true it is, but I read somewhere that you get better gas mileage at highway speeds with the AC on, than you do with the windows down, due to aerodynamics. Obviously the ideal situation would be to keep the windows up and the AC off, but that gets hot as hell. At normal speeds though, windows down is best.

I heard the same I keep them closed unless I cant bear it then I open up for half a min or so to get some air circulating around then close em back up.

31mpg from dallas to houston with almost no wind (tail wind maybe?). A/C on and I am automatic... I have never been able to come close to reproducing that since.

I registered 38 mpg last night on the way to play hoops. Cruise control, 65mph the whole way, 11 mile trip, didn't touch the brakes once. Hit construction on the way back, took side streets and my milage dropped to 26 for the trip. Would have liked to have the same conditions on the way back to see if it was elevation or wind assisted.
