I went to my dealer back in Sept and they had LeMans Sunset IN STOCK. I bought a bottle to paint a model to match my car. Don't know why your dealer can't order it for you.

Hey DJ,
Have you tried www.paintscratch.com? They have the Z paintcodes, can mix any quantity you want (paint pen, spray can, pint, quart, gallon), and they can put in a flex addative for non-metalic surfaces (bumpers, plastic, etc).
I have not personally tried them, but have heard they are very well liked on the G35 boards.

p.s. Can't wait to get my DVD...did my car make the final cut? ....If you have not shipped it, I can drive over and pick it up

That sounds like a neat idea painting the engine cover. I could not find this flex additive mentioned above on that site. Where is it located? I assume you will need 1)primer 2)basecoat and 3)clearcoat.
I would even like to do the triple gauges and the back of the instrument panel pod like the axis Yellow Z. No flaming neccesary just personal taste. Do you think you can DIY with the spray can or should a pro do it?

I just got off the phone with SpageAge Paint here in Mesa. He has found the formula for B17.
He says it's a 3 stage paint... not the more typical 2 stage.
There are 2 blue stages and then the clear.
He says he'll add a adhesion promoter for painting on plastics.
Total cost for both blue stages (pint cans) and clear (quart) is around $100.
MUCH cheaper than paintscratch.com and probably more accurate color match.
I'm going to try to go down there this Sat. and get it all... will try to shoot it this weekend.
