Nismo has a different # rating and should run cooler.

The radiator cap has no influence on how hot your engine runs. It's only job is to keep pressure in the system to raise the boiling point of the coolant.

Saying it "runs cooler" would have to mean less pressure, which would mean coolant boils quicker, which means your engine overheats sooner.

More pressure would allow (but not cause) the engine to run hotter, but you would want to take steps to prevent that anyway (better radiator, water pump, etc.).

And I wouldn't pay over $5 for that cheap stamped cap in the pic.

If that is the case, its probably a problem with your radiator not the actual radiator cap (unless they sold you a bad one which I have never seen to date after thousands sold)...

This radiator cap increases the amount of pressure the radiator cap can take before the coolant comes out of it, it will go out of the overflow resevour first before the cap... the cap may have very well not been installed correctly... its not rocket science, but then again, its easy to mess up anything...

Mynismo.com will be up early next week! atleast, that is what I was last told...

it is actually the cap. do you guys see where it looks like it sorta sinks down behind where it says nismo? when it got hot that would actually raise up cause coolant was getting under it. i saw it. the dealer told me they had never seen anything like it before and i've yet to find anybody else who has. i know it was the cap too cause now that they gave me another one, it runs fine.

it dosn't matter how many are sold or how well they are made, when stuff gets mass produced, you get a faulty every now and again no matter what. just look at cars.

they warranted me a new nismo one at the dealer and gave me a new factory one until it gets here so it's all gravy now.
