Here it goes. i was driving to my bros house in a bad mood cause i accidently took his keys and now i had to drive 20 minutes back to give em to him. I pulled up to a red light and there was a sweet GT mustang (had some stickers of mods) couldnt really see what but the thing sounded like a beast.He had windows down and gives me a lets race look. SO i immediately turn my a/c off and with out knowing if it going to happen or not. We keep going both messing around and reving up to the next light and he says " lets go on a roll" i guess cause he was afraid to spin out of control or something and i said ok. from 15 he honked three times and he took a quick lead to maybe a half a car and once i hit third i took a lead of 1/2 car and kept it to maybe 100 when we both slowed down. he then just waved and did a fly by. I was impressed with what a great race we had.

These are my mods(kinetix v+, k&n typhoon intake, kinetix hi flow cats, ur pulley, borla td, jwt fly wheel and clutchmasters clutch) all = 13.3 @104

yeah, he musta had a some decent mods. + 15mph isnt the strongest place to start a race though for the Z. but your's is faster than mine so what do i know.haha

Every old style GT ive raced ive smashed horribly...Maybe it was an un-modded cobra? If it was a GT it musta had a good amount of modding.

what stage? there is a stage 2 focking around at my college but im not sure if these are the really fast ones. ive seen it parked and it has stickers in the rear lil windows that say stage 2.

im pretty sure a stage 1 is just body panels... stage 2 adds upgraded suspension... stage 3 is the supercharged version

no sh*t. ive seen the crapiest looking cars kick some major ***. then again i would rather run a 18 second Z than be seen in some of those all motor rusted buckets. hehehe

not to steel a thread, but why do most mustang drivers always want to race anything that rolls, i had some tard race me off the line in a 5.0 (i think a 94-95) i pulled a car on him by the time he missed second gear, i had my best friends girlfriend in my car and she just looked over at him and laughed( as i slowed down to turn left). but i used to have them come up to me in my civic and try to race.

I beg to differ. My brother has built his up pretty well and I'm almost positive it could take on a Z evenly at worst.

yeah. im not dissing on mustangs.. since i used to have a 96 gt myself, but i have to admit i am in love with the svt cobra (supercharged) and would be willing to trade my Z with anyone who has one. these things sound awesome. sounds like a damn jet.

I am very cautious when a GT rolls up on me.....because they can be modded cheaply there are alot of fast ones out there, the thing is though like in this case the guy did not know how to drive........nice kill.....

The last body style of mustangs are pretty comparable if not a little slower than the Z. I haven't gotten a chance to play around with a new GT but I'd be interested to see how quick they are...
