Default Pulley Question?

I see the majority of the Z drivers have the Unorthadox CRANK pulley by itself.. Which is suppose to give you 5-10 hp i beleive. Now what dif in HP gains will it be for getting the whole unorth pulley set? would it be a big dif or just a waste?

I have the UR set and it works well. Made 7hp at the wheels when I dyno'd a few months back. Be aware that a UR pulley will steal current and therefore if you have big amps, DVD's it can possibly cause a headache later.

Pulleys are a engine mod and have been discussed a dozen times. Search pulley in the engine forum.

Short answer.... NOTHING!

Pullies do not make or create HP. I don't care what you read in Super Street. All pullies work along the same concept as a lighten flywheel which do nothing but allow the motor to spin faster by lowering the total rotational mass on the crank.
Yes... I have a full lighten pulley set on my Z. It works to improve rev/throttle response.

Can you live without it?... Yeah. Better money can be spent elsewhere with better gains in HP than on pulleys.

Is the Search feature your friend? Absolutely!
