From: Where I have yet to cross another Lemans Z!?
I've been looking over the program all morning and cant believe how in depth this is! You could literally take the car apart and put it back together using this! A friend knew someone that works at a Dealer and talked to him for me about a deal on it so I got it at a "decent" price. At 1st I was a little worried if it was going to be worth it or if it would be to technical for the average Joe to follow but I'm so glad I bought it! If anyone out there is thinking about it and will use it at least once, it is 100% worth the $$$. Step by step details, huge pics, everything is super clear and spelled out! Or if anyone needs some screen shots to help out on something your stuck with let me know! More than happy to help out or pass on the info!
You should always get the service manual, especially if you plan to keep the car and/or modify it. I got the dealer to throw it in, at first he was going to charge me his cost - $60 instead of the list, which is about $230, I think. I'm waiting for it to arrive. I think he said 6 CDs. The dealer aslo said Nissan isn't issuing a hard copy manual for the Z?? Unless you really know and work on Zs, the manual can be pretty helpful in dealing with dealer service and after market places. PM me with your address and I'll burn you a set of CDs once I get it.
I recently bought all the service manuals for my '66 chevy impala convertible resto. There unbelievably helpful. Search the web. There's sites selling all sorts of service manuals. My '66 chevy manual is about 6 volumes and the last volume i finally found has "property of chevy engineering" stamped in it. Got it from a guy selling them used in Detroit. When the Zs become collector cars, and they will, the manuals will provide added value. I have the original '66 impala owners manual and its real interesting to look at, sets the whole tone for when the car was made. Of course, I'll be 90 when my Z hits the age of my '66 - not sure I'll be around to enjoy the car or the manual!
