Welcome.

There is a thread on tire feathering in the tire forum. I know. I know. What a strange place to put a subject about tires.

There is a thread about the drive train in the...well...I think you can guess where admin hid it.

I have an 06/04 Roadster, and I have the feathering problem. Nissan just replaced the first set for free, and even though it's not official, they will continue to do that until the three years are up.

It's not that loud to me, I got about 10,000 miles out of them before I had to replace them.

I really wouldn't sweat it. Unless getting one used means Nissan won't back up the tires.

i have an 2004 1/2 that had tire feathering. the new potenzas and toe adjustment seemed to fix the problem. it was covered under warranty. i haven't noticed any feathering since and my tranny is fine.

2004.5 with 8,000 miles and no problems. I just switched to 06 rims and tires so I guess I will never know.
