Default No More Stalls

I’ve notices since I’ve adjusted my clutch that it no longer stalls on first or second gear rolling. On first gear it stays steady at 6-7 mph and on second it stays around 15 mph. I guess I adjusted it to low, so does that mean the clutch in still engaged a little after I let off?

I know a couple people here adjusted their clutch too, has anyone had this problem or any after adjusting the clutch?????

I adjusted mine, a month later it was back at the same spot. Did it again, same thing. So I just brought it back to what it was. Even though it engages high as hell, Im used to it so its ok.

How are you supposed to stall in 1st or 2nd while rolling? Am I missing something?? If you can't stall from a stop, then you might have a problem.

I'm not sure about you, but my clutch came adjusted correctly from the factory.

Of course it will stall on 1st if not enough gas, but once it is rolling on first, the rpms don't drop and stays above 5mph. On 2nd it won't drop pass 13-15 mph. I can just cruse on 1st and 2nd applying gas.

If you leave the gear in 1st or 2nd and leave your foot off the gas or clutch, the car will studder to a hult, right?

My car doesn't do that anymore.

No it wont. Once your rpm drop below a certain level the ecu will deliver a small amount of fuel whether you depress the accelerator or not. Basically the same thing that keeps the car idling. On a flat surface, first or second with no throttle, will continue to move you forward(slowly). Now if you put the car under a heavy load like trying to climb a hill where the small amount of fuel is not enough to keep it running, then yes, it will grind to a halt.

Is that for most cars, becasue my friend has a 01 Prelude and it does stall out. All the cars that I driven stall out on 1st and 2nd at low rpms with the foot off the pedals.

Roast is right you should be able to roll with no gas without stalling. I do this all the time in traffic using only the clutch to start rolling and then maintain a roll never using the gas

Are you talking about the adjustment screw on the clutch pedal to change dis/engagement distance. This should have no effect on the car stalling or not stalling. I adjustement mine, long time ago to have it disengage/engage with little pedal movement.

When adjusting be sure to check that the clucth is actually fully engaged and not slipping also ensure that it6 fully disengages when pressed and not partically.

if the rpms drop below 1K (maybe around or under 800rpm) it will go buckin bronco and eventually stall.

Not mine, and not from what they are saying.
The only reason for my concern was that the clutch may be engaged too much because of the adjustment. I'm happy with the clutch now. I just adjusted the cruse control today and now I'm ready for Memorial Day weekend.
By the way thanks for the info.

I adjusted my clutch PEDAL down a bit. There was a thread on this a long time ago that explained how to do it in detail. No problems with CC or anything and it doesn't feel like I'm shifting my dad's old manual pick up truck, .
