I didnt have a video camera but i stalked a guy driving down interstate I70 as I was driving home from st louis. He was driving a new z06 and passed me like I was a hybrid. So of course the Z owner I am, i raced up to catch him (basically taunt him) the guy was probably in his late 40s and pointed for me to go, SOOOO I took off as fast as I could looking in my rear view mirror to see if he was comming, when He was like an 1/8 mile behind me I see him slowly getting closer, Then before you know it he Completly blew past me like i was standing still, at this point I was going 140....... I eventually cought up to him after he slowed down, He waved and took the next exit..... in conclusion, I had no idea how fast the new z06's were... seemed to be a great car....

 

The new Zo6 is a an affordable supercar and can whoop ferrari's and lambo's!

nothing wrong with playing along with the guy, i had been on the road for 3 hours, was quite bored.... ready for any kind of excitment thrown my way...

 

C6 Z06 is a mid 11-second car. 500hp and around 3100 lbs.

 

i'd do the same thing .. just to hear those things roar.. and to see how fast it really is in respect to my car

 

My dad has a 04 Zo6 with a Vortech S/C. Damn thing is almost too fast. Hard to hold on too the steering wheel. When I first drove it I cant belive it was legal to own. I have yet to push it too a top speed. No flat areas around to push 200mph.

 

You never had him...you never even had your car. Ask any racer, any REAl racer they will say the same....it dosen't matter if you win by an inch or by a mile...winning is winning.

Wow I only see a handful of the newer Z06's let alone get to watch one play with me. If i saw one coming i would just pull over to the side of the road..pointless to try to race him.

The Z06 is flat out awesome its really the only American car that I am ever hoping to buy anymore. Some day maybe when I am in my mid 40's and my mortgage is gone... some day! Until then I enjoy my Z it looks almost just as nice and for the price I can at least flame a few Mustangs!

 

Friend of mine has a C6 Z06 and it's BADASS! That thing is CRAZY to say the least. He made me run him one night on the way home from Steak & Shake at like 3am, I was reluctant as I obviously knew he was going to obliterate me...but I played along anyway. About a 30 roll, he drops into 1st and floors it! The back end of that thing was slippin back and forth like crazy and he took off from me like a bat outta hell. Once he shifted into 2nd he must have had a good 8 car lengths on me. haha I was in 2nd the whole time...never even had the chance to shift to 3rd. lol

Now just wait until the headers and a more aggressive cam go in there! That car will be INSANE!!

 

i thinks it's kool you played with him, just to see that car do what it was built to do.....thats funny he gave you an 1/8th mile before came back after you....
