I sold mine for 19.5 and it had all the mods and i threw in a car cover and the stock touring wheels. I had it listed at like 21.5 but got no bites. It was a 2003 black touring model. My suggestion, put ur price at 19.5 and it will move. Mods were 19 inch RH j8 wheels, borla td exhaust, kinetix highflow cats, jwt popcharger, Veilside v1 urethane lip, shaved nissan emblem on the front.

some advice...make sure it is spotlessly clean when someone comes to look at it. And if you post it online, make sure the pictures look amazing...i used these two pictures for my 03 Touring Z with 45,000 miles on it and I was getting offers of $18k and $21k...I deicided that I wanted to keep the car afterall..since no other car on the market really appeals to me. I think people liked my car because my street is tree lined and it just makes the silverstone look really good....once you get it in the sun you start seeing things like rock chips and dirty wheel wells. It also makes me feel good to see 1996 300zx's holding their value...

I think most people buy from stealerships used b/c they can get a lower interest rate than a person to person.

for example right now capital one used person-to-person 60 month apr is 8.25% but for used dealer its 7.39%. A 60 month 22k loan at 8.25% would be about $450 a month... but at 7.39% you could finance 22.5k and have your payments be $450 a month. Plus most people don't know how easy is it to buy a car from a private party so they want to save another $500 or so just for dealing with the hassel...

Also its not that hard to talk a used car lot down to the private party price (at least in my exp), so I personally would never buy a used car private party unless it was $500-$1000 less than KBB in "good" condition. People are always afraid of first model years esp if your warranty is about to run out.
