Default Nobody wants to buy my Z!

I'm really at a loss as to what to do about my 2003 Touring edition. I've taken out ads in two major newspapers, put ads on autotrader.com, cars.com, and craigslist.com. I've put up flyers all over town. In 6 weeks I've gotten 2 (!) calls and one person came to see it, really liked it, and made a real lowball offer. When I called him back to say I'd accept anyway, he decided he was getting a brand new one. I have serious cash flow problems and need to sell, or will soon find myself without a home. (How ironic, owning a Z and not being able to pay rent). Do people just not buy these cars used? Is there something I'm doing wrong? How did y'all sell yours (if you sold a Z)?. The car has 39 k miles, and is priced to move at $21,000, under bue book value.

Really, 18K is probably realistic on a private sale like that man.

I've seen 2003 Z selling for 18-20K around here, and they're still sitting at the dealers... With the summer just around the corner, you may have better luck.

If no one is buying then they dont feel they are getting a good deal, or they think you are asking too much. Do the math... I would conisder lowering your price or stash your undies in your nav cubby because it will be your next residence.
I purchased a 03 enthusiast for 19k with less mileage (32k)
No mean intentions~

Looking thru AutoTrader I see 20k is about the cheapest 03 for your area. The few I found had less milage than yours. You may have to bring it down to sell it ASAP!

I paid $25k otd for an 05 Touring with 8500, you need to drop the price. Just because a dealer is showing a price doesn't mean your going to pay it!

Try ebay with no reserve if all else fails.

Good Luck.

Blue book. Red book. Pink book. Book price is a guideline and no more. Keep in mind that you live in Massachusetts. How many months each year can you safely drive a 350Z? 8? Demand will be less than, say, Florida. Drop the price $1,000. See if that sparks any interest.

Dude! Dont feel bad, Nobody wants to buy mine niether
I got 04 redline touring with low low... low miles...
First of all I posted the car with 4000miles and $8000 in extras, Asking price 32K and not even one person interested,
Then I parted out the car to sell it stock and I decided to put some miles on it, It currently has 7000miles and its driven every day with big silver decal "for sale" on the hatch, People calling, people asking... in past 7weeks I dropped the price from $29K to 26K and even for 26K no one wants it,
Its just funny cause 26K is what nissan infiniti is giving me on a trade in, Oh well, They are definitely not easy to sell

FYI, I tried eBay, autotrader, craigslist,..., and the only thing I got from it was a bunch of phone calls from scammers trying to help you sell it for only $199... so keep that in mind

If you're a 350Z buyer...

Problem-wise, '03 & '04 have the most.

I think it might be, that with the Coupe, used car buyers have more choices. There is more for sale. Used 350Z Roadster's are a hard to find item here. Usually when you see one for sell in the paper. It is not there the next week. They are holding their resale value and going for top dollar as well.

Well someone is buying used 350Zs. Look at the new owners forum: its filled with proud new owners of pre-owned 350Zs. Buyers are particular about things like color. Silver is the most popular color. Silver is most in demand.

I feel you pain, I too have an 03 touring with all options and 10600k miles and can not sell it. I have gotten 12 calls and now no one have made a offer other then this kid that told my 18k. I have the car listed for $21,500. It does have a scuff on the front bumper that would need to be fixed. Could be the reason why I have not gotten a buyer.
