So I got involved in a hit and run accident. Got the plates down but the fool ran. My front bumper has a little bend the runs from the middle towards the drivers side and got a couple of scratches. What should I do? I'm with State Farm and my deductible is $500. I really don't know how insurance companies work so hopefully someone can run the process by me. I'm torn between getting a whole new bumper (Tommy Kaira) or leaving it as is since the damage is not that noticeable. I'm slowly working on my car...tanabe exhaust and 19" R5 Pros.

 

If you're going to replace the bumper, you might as well do it out of pocket given your $500 deductible. A new OEM bumper is like $250 + paint.

 

Doooood get a police report if you have plates. Your insurance will take care of u if you have a police report and I believe that you shouldn't have to pay anything if you have full coverage (uninsured motorist).

I'm lagging on this...been working and traveling too much. Thanks for reminding me though. Imma call my insurance company right now.
