How much rigidity do you require for something that you use once a week and never place stress on?

I want a bulletproof one so if somebody shoots at my fuel door like in the movies, I wont blow up! Woot!

Actually, imho, I think an aftermarket fuel door would ruin the look of the car... jus' my 2 cents...

I think a CF fuel door is about the riciest looking thing you can do, but that's just my opinion...

Everyone bags on the fuel door, and I don't know why. I even hear of misalignment from time to time. How are you guys closing the door when you finish fueling? I close it right where the catch is, which places no stress on the hinge. So far, and many, many refills later, it still is in perfect alignment, and has no issues.

I have a Sparco racing fuel door. It locks and all real race door. I love it and the way it looks. I don't think it would work on a regular Z though.

This is an old issue, it turns out that those people were closing the fuel door without making sure that the wire/string attached to the gas cap was not in the way. Hence when the fuel door was closed, it would be misaligned because the wire/string was in the way.

With that out of the way, I wish some people would ask themselves before modding their car what they would think if another car pulled up with the same mod they were thinking of getting. Would they laugh or would they admire it.

So, if a honda civic drove up to you and it had a carbon fiber fuel door, what would be your reaction? If a tC drove up to you with neon lights underneath the car, what would be your reaction? etc.

This is what I do everytime I think of modding my car, would I laugh at a nother car for doing this. It's a really simple practice.

After you mod your fuel door why not get some chrome side pipes, some 13" gold wire daytons and some dingle-***** for the visor.
