Default Is my tire pressure monitor accurate?

I believe the general consensus is that the TPS is pretty accurate. However, I just got a longacre, liquid-filled tire gauge and it doesn't agree with the TPS. Checking with the gauge, I got 34-35 psi cold, but when I drove the car right after, the TPS reads 31psi.

The TPS has been reading around 34psi cold and has since been losing pressure over time. I thought this was normal, so I was going to add some air, but my gauge suggests otherwise.

I previously used a pencil type gauge along with an accutire gauge. I lost those two, but I remember them matching up with the TPS. Although the accutire would disagree at times. I always had a hard time getting consistent readings with the accutire, but that's beside the point.

mine is right on, whatever the tire gauge reads then that is what the tps reads....definately check your tires and see if you have any leaks

I think it's common for tires to lose a little air over time, but does this mean that my TPS is inaccurate or that the longacre tire gauge that adjusts for temperature is inaccurate?

Here's the gauge that I just got http://www.longacreracing.com/catalo...d=1118&catid=8 It's a pretty decent piece from a reputable company so I'd like to trust it's accuracy.

The gauge I used was within 99% accuracy. I think it works very well (the TPS that is).
