God I hate hearing stories like this. Why are people so god damn stupid? I have never hit anyone's car with my door, EVER. How much of an idiot do you have to be to do that. It's like "There's someone elses car next to me, I should be careful when I open my door so I don't hit their car." Common sense. Sorry, this isn't useful, I just had to vent. Some stupid a$$hole hit my car with a shopping cart a week after I got my Z. Made me so damn mad. Losing a chunk of paint is bad. I don't know if there's an easy way to fix that. My scratches were just superficial, so they could be just buffed out.

Call your dealer or sales rep and ask if they have a "paint guy" that comes around to the dealerships to repair scratches and paint chips. Most of them have this service. Top notch and better than having the area repainted. Cost is usually around 75.00 to 100.00 but well worth it.
