Glad I went with redline now
Can't believe I actually thought so much about silverstone or silver alloy as well as the redline.
How many silver's can you count in this Z meet pic?
How many red ones?

I almost ended up getting a silver one b/c the dealership I went to said they could knock a good amount off the price if I bought the silverstone one they had in stock.
Glad I went with the black.

Couldn't agree with you more. In my opinion a hot sports car needs a hot color. Not trying to be offensive to the SS owners out there, I actually really like silver on some cars(more elegant sporty sedans like BMW's, Even Acura's) but I just feel Silver doesn't do the Z justice, unless they have some great rims on it.
I rarely see Zs on the road but nearly every single one is some variant of silver. I too cannot believe now that I went to dealership back in January torn between SS and MB. Had the tester not been a Redline, I may not have ordered one. Red gets so much attention everywhere I go, it is a little insane.

Hey Chris: I believe those 2 pictures are 2 different events. First one from 2004 RR/TI meet and the 2nd one from Last Year's RR/TI meet. The very first SS Z on the first pix is my old Z
and the 2nd picture has yellow taping around it

Chad68s pic is from the 2004 meet (so there were no UY yet), my pic was of the 2005 meet.

Cool pictures.
I got the Redline by chance, really, because it had been marked down as a left-over '05, but I like it. Wouldn't have bought silver, black, or sunset; would have considered white or blue. But as my uncle always used to drive red convertibles, I just naturally feel like a convertible simply SHOULD be red, just the order of things.
A friend of mine, when he first saw my new car, said "Wow! Now that really is you!" Guess my car and I just found each other and fell in lurve... ;-)

I chose SS because, it blends in with traffic, (not very attractive color to cops/w.e), scratches are less visible than on black/blue/red and it looks better than silveralloy in the sun
When I was growing up in Michigan, silver and gray were also known as the colors that would hide slush and salt stains in the winter. Any given Michigan parking lot will have about half silver cars.
Hiding snow and slush stains probably not a consideration for most Z's, but it's always the first thing I think of when I see a silver car.

Hey now...Nothing wrong with Silver. Personally...I figure it is less likely for a cop to see a silver blur than a bright colored one
. Besides, it's the easiest color to keep clean
