In the 06 they put a change holder or something like that in it's place.

Again in the 06 you have those two and one in each door that will fit a 20oz bottle nicely.

Too funny. FWIW, the cupholders in the '06 suck anyway. The door holders are awkward, and none will hold anything bigger than a soda can. I do like to take a thermal mug of coffee with me to work and I had to get some new tall skinny ones. (Spill-proof )

My in-dash cup holder owns your in-door cup holder any day of the week. But hey, at least you have a place to put your business cards!

I use the dash cupholder all the time on my 04'.

Now the 93'-95' rx7s really had no cup holders. So I bought my wife an official cup holder shirt. Lets just say that didn't go over so well.

I use the two in the center consol. The one where the traditional glovebox is absolutely horrible.

Some of you guys are excellent at doing various mods. Me, I stick to redesigning my cupholder layout. I use the pop-out one to hold a cup-holder size mini-trash bin. I took out the two worthless ones from the center console and use that space for maps, a little notebook, pens, etc.

I bought a cupholder thing from Courtesy Nissan that has a handle that fits into the coinholder slot. It has two actual cupholders that will easily hold soda cans. Works for me - I can't drive unless I'm properly caffeinated.

Cupholders are great in our Honda Pilot. They are marginally acceptable in our Maxima. They are NEVER used in our Audi A6 or my ZR. Get the point?

I use the cup holders in my doors for bottled water..that's about it. The 2 in the center console are great but with a 6-speed it gets in the way of my shifting so I don't use 'em except to hold spare change. There's no cup holders in the big pop-up center console so I'm not sure where you guys got 6 cup holders in the '06. I only count 4. But yeah I only drink water in my car and 99% of the time it's in a bottle with a cap but if I spill some...it's water - no harm.

my Z is my daily driver, so cupholders are a must. my 05 has 3 of them. my only rule is... if there's 1 drink in the car it must go in the dash cup holder. if there are 2 drinks they must both go in the center console cup holders. gotta minimize the spillage.

The 03-05 have a detachable 2 cup cupholder in the console. I only need 1 for my cell phone

Six cupholders is ridiculous.

Haha, well there's the cupholders, the extra interior upgrades, maybe the motor is a bit heavier? Actually...on the subject...does anyone actually know where the extra weight came from?
