Default New transmission already

I know that we have talked about this alot but just wanted to let everybody know what happened today at the dealership. Took the car in for the infamous transmission noise when the clutch is disengaged. Instead of them telling me they would fix the clutch they said the transmission needed replacing but not the clutch. The clutch is in awesome shape based off feel from me except for the throwout bearing noise (I think?) . The good thing is that I dont have to pay for the transmission. I only have 31k on the car (03 Touring). I guess I understand when people tell you not to buy the first model year of a new car. Ill keep you guys up to date with what happens!

The only noise I hear is when I engage and shift from 1st to 2nd. ****ing hate that gear. Makes some noise when it gets into gear. Sone of a *****. Think that is the way its gonna be. Piece of **** 2nd gear.

Everything after that is cherry.

You're getting a tranny for something that will most likely be there with new one just as it is with the old. However, having an '03, it's probably preventative maintenance

Exactly. If Nissan had a fix for this, they would have used them on the 06's. If thats the case, you'll get one of those and it'll still make that noise.

If you aren't getting the grind going into 3rd or maybe 6th gear, and your just hearing a gravelly noise when the clutch is out at idle, sorry to tell you, that's probably normal. If you can stop the noise by pushing the clutch, it's a normal noise.

Mine's even louder with a lighter flywheel.

....try put it in 2nd gear first while idling in neutral then shift up to first.... take off and then engage 2nd between 2500/3500rpm with a firm grip on the shifter. Mine don't clunk engaging 2nd gear.

Most of the notchyness is in 2nd, then, I get a notch in 3rd, sometimes 4th, kinda rough in 5th (not a notch) and 6th is constant butter. What causes a single notch feeling when going into 3rd?

My friend has a 2006 and he said the transmission makes noise. It's normal. I'm kind of deaf so I can't heard it, Or I just don't want too.
