Window Grease and Warranty Question?
I have the good old window grease marks, and the dealership says that is not covered by my warranty? Is that correct or should it be covered? any help would be nice. Thanks.
Is there grease on the windows of other cars? If the answer is no, then it is a deficiency in materials or workmanship. Deficiencies in materials or workmanship are covered by warranty.
isn't there a TSB for the window grease marks?....i had both window grease marks taken care of under warranty from day one back in 03....my driver side still has a tiny grease mark, but it don't bother me no more.

Make sure to check your vehicle carefully before driving it home from the shop.
Im a detailer at a nissan dealership, and i run across this problem alot, even with my own Z... i've even see this on the 06 roadsters... cubbie is right... if they try to fix it... theres a good chance ur going ot get friction noise from your window when u let it all the way down... just keep a can of foaming streakless glass cleaner on ur glove box... it wont kill you to whipe your windows once in a while... i do it for customers all day....

Just put my '05's windows for the first time and driver's windows has grease. I read about the fix thing and I agree that unless its dire, I shouldn't get it fixed.
Just out of curiousity, what do they replace to fix the grease? Is it just cleaning up the grease or is there a mechanical fix?
Thanks!!

If you do a search their is a thread that has been created to fix this yourself I followed it and no more grease. Basically you take off the door panel and look down your window and their is type of band with soft bristles on it and you are able to pull it out with needle nose pliers, it worked.
