More power due for mighty Nissan pair
• Murano GT-C and 350Z GT-S at Goodwood festival
• Models could reach UK showrooms
• 100bhp more in Murano 4x4

A pair of high-performance Nissans could be on their way here later this year if public reaction to the cars is favourable.

The Murano GT-C and 350Z GT-S will appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and then the British Motor Show in London in July.

There are no performance figures for the cars yet (testing starts after the London show), but the 3.5-litre V6 in the Murano 4x4 is uprated by more than 100bhp. In standard form the engine produces 231bhp, but a turbocharged has pushed output to around 350bhp.

Nissan is also giving the Murano a sportier look - 22-inch wheels replace the standard 18-inch designs, while there's a raised roof spoiler at the back.

Supercharging the 3.5-litre V6 in the 350Z coupe increases output from 296bhp to around 380bhp. Nissan has also uprated the suspension and brakes.

If the cars get a positive reaction Nissan says they could be offered to buyers in limited numbers.
If they even offer it, it'll probably just be in the UK.

This might actually reach the states. If not, if will make a world of a deference for the SCCA Z's. If it is produced with the supercharger by the manufactor, then they should allow the Z's to run with the superchargers. If this happens, it will become alot more exciting to watch SCCA races.

I think what Nissan would do is sell the entire package as a Nismo kit. They may send a few out of the factory, but everyone else would be able to get it through the dealership. Nissan would lose a lot of money if they didn't do that. I bet a lot of Z owners would go this route if they knew Nissan would provide a warranty etc, vice people going the aftermarket route. This worked really well for Dodge with the SRT-4.

with the 350z being designed in the US, and being such a big seller here, I think it would be a big mistake for Nissan not to offer the supercharged version...

Translated from Italian Via Google

The coupè Japanese it catches up quota 380 CV and ago already to dream…

Who has had the fortune to try, also shortly, Nissan 350 Z unavoidablly of it will have conserved a indelebile memory: little cars (to say the true nobody, in its wrap of price…) they are in a position to emitting a noise much grintoso and to intraversare the tail to the escape of every curve, if the road, the traffic and your humor concur it. All with indeed remarkable a daily fruibilità, to the point that is ended in order to wish still more horses. Evidently in Nissan they know to read in the thought of gets passionate to you: therefore in fact one only explains the beautiful “gift” that the Japanese house are gotten ready to to introduce to the Festival of the Speed of Goodwood, in program from the 7 to the 9 July. Yes, because the Japanese technicians have given to the V6 of 3.5 liters a beautiful turbocompressore, carrying therefore the maximum power from 300 very 380 CV. Naturally with the occasion it has been see again also the order, while the refraining system has been upgraded. And if been thinking that also the appearances are important, you will be happy for knowing that this 350Z GT-S benefits also of a kit aesthetic particularly grintoso, but able at the same time to increase the deportanza to the high speeds and to favor the cooling of the brakes. All good therefore? In reality at least two reasons of lamentela come us in mind: the first one, for the rather veniale truth, regards the wait that it will consume to us in these days before being able to admire the first official images of this most special sportswoman. The second, “very more serious”, is all in the word “concept”: at the moment the production in series of the GT-S is not previewed in fact and this is a true sin…

if it even comes here it will be around 45k probably.

that is quite expensive especially if they upgrade the breaks from the track version.

Sound like a Stillen type set up judgeing by the numbers and it's proven. No big deal. They should put the Infinity V8 in this platform with about 425 Hp. (more than the C6 Corvette). Now they have a segment buster worth 45K+. The Infinity Skyline can go the turbo/SC route. I want a V8 in my next Z and it may be a ZO6 if Nissan does not get with some serious HP. You can buy a stinking Accord with 300 HP now. 300 is no big deal any more. I hope Mr. Gosen reads this.
