Different measuring method, using ECE standard close to DIN standard.
In Europe only the Manual Transmission is available, so nowadays we are talking about 300 HP, same as the manual in US.

hey howcome the Z's in Ethiopia don't come with air conditioning? isn't it hot over there?

I heard the Z's in antartica are awd for the snow, but don't have airbags.

Hey I live in Istanbul and go to skool in Boston where I have my Z.The Zs here in eu have a few differences the major ones I know of are the parking sensors in the rear and the things in the front of the headlights which soak them when you use your wipers.(I dunno what they are called )

In Switzerland there are only two versions available. The base car, with cloth seats, and the Pack version, which adds leather, electric seats, cruise control and Bose sound system.

HID, Brembo brakes, LSD and VDC are standard on all versions.

European models also has a bigger radiator and the finned differential cover(nismo?) standard. (probably because europeans drive a little.... ok a lot faster)

The European horsepower and torque are measured differently than the US measurement, hence the difference in numbers.

However, hp is more than PS which would make the US version equal (numerical) 291 PS, 11 over the Euro rated 280 PS. In real world almost no Z makes the claimed PS, they usualy are dynoed at 265-275 PS corrected engine PS.
