Angry oil consumption

well folks.. i got a question for all 350z and g35. I have a 05 350z and went through 7000klm of consumption reports. The car has 38.000 klm on it right now. Everytime we checked oil it was down. One point it was down 27mm
on the dip stick. It was checked every 1000 klm. Not once was it OK with the 5/30 oil . So i figure they will do something about it ...no not quite... nissan tech decides to put 10/30 in it. The first oil consumption report with the 10/30 its down 10mm on the dip stick.I figure now they will do something. I get a phone call from the dealer saying that tech tells them it is NORMAL consumption for a vq engine????? They say if your engine burns a litre of oil between oil chances this is acceptable which is 6000klm. The person that nissan tech sends there info too to make decisions(Loyd Hillier) Nissan Canada tells me that he drives an 06 g35 and he puts a litre of oil between changes because it is a performance car. What do you guys think?? Are you putting this much oil in your brand new cars??? If not i sure would like some input.

If you change oil regularly, say every 4,000 miles, you should not have to add oil between oil changes. Its a new engine. Why should you be burning oil?

Well, not sure whats going on with your car.
But...Its not necesarily a bad thing, at least your car is getting fresh oil often.

The best performance car I ever had, used oil like yours does, but I didnt mind loosing the oil, pretty cheap anyway.

But I do agree, that you should not be loosing that much oil.

They should fix it

a liter of oil per 5000KMS is absurd!
Mine never burned off more than 1/8 of a liter every 5000Kms....
Give em hell man! I`d be pissed off!!!
