There are too many variables for anyone to tell you how much a month a Z is going to cost. It all depends on the purchase price, the payoff on your S2000, the interest rate and the length of the loan.

One word of advice however....never shop for a car by asking the salesman how much the monthly payments will be. Always negociate the price first, then figure the payments.

I paid a little over 22k for my 04 Enthusiast with ~36k miles here in KY.

There's a lot of variables with what you're payment will be. Not sure what they'll give you in trade on your S2K or your credit history and all that stuff. Just ball parking it I would say your payments would go up 30-50 dollars a month...of course that all depends on your loan term and interest rate.

After putting down a few grand in cash I financed just under 18k for 5 years at a little under 6%...making my payments in the $340 range.

I just looked up the KBB for your S2K. Assuming it's in excellent shape most dealerships will give you ~14.5k on trade. About what you owe it sounds like. So you'd pretty much be coming out even. If you can hold out for a private sale you could probably get closer to 16k in a private deal. Either way if you don't put down any cash you're probably looking at paying close to $500 a month for a 22-23k dollar car, again...all depends on your loan term and rate.

dont know if this helps... maybe you can relate to it. i bought the Z november 2005.

my Z was $23000. (2003 SB Touring 6 speed w/nav, 24k miles)

i put $11000 as down payment from my civic that i sold.

i borrowed $12000 from the bank, at 8% apr. i pay $250 a month, for 5 years... but i know i can pay it off before then.

Correction. It was $22,500 with 33k miles. Touring package.

I put little down as I have JUST started working and didn't have a trade. I am paying just over $500 a month for the payment (then add gas, insurance, taxes at the end of the year) and it adds up fast. I got 8.5%/5 yrs. since I have little to no credit history.

I live in NY, bought my '03 touring with 8000 miles for $22k out the door in mid-March '06. My monthly payments are around $500 with $3000 down, and i forget what what my interest rate was. This is a 6 year deal.

Generally when you extend out the life of the loan your interest rate will go up. At 72 months your interest rate will most likely be around 8% with the current terms.

Your best bet is to come up with some cash for a down payment or continue to make your S2K payments and either save extra or put that extra towards your current payment so you can come out further ahead on your trade value.

Aside from helping this guy with his rate... I don't think he should get an '03 Z if he already has a S2K. There are just too many problems with the 03-04's. I say get an '05+ or don't get a Z at all, since you have a nice car already.

Avoid 03 models if you can. I would stick with 05 or 06 if I were you.

Not most accurate but this may help.

For every 5,000 dollars I would say 100 dollars a month.

15,000=av 300-350 a month
20,000=av 350-400
25,000=av 400-450
30,000=av 450-500
My car was about 31,500=at 7.21 I am paying about 550

Would be close to those numbers. Those are not exact.
