I saw a clip of the commercial for the show on ABC and I caught a glimps of the interior with a driver, i guess drifting the Z. Can anyone confirm this or give any info about it?

 

Yeah, I saw that too. I believe it was doing donuts.

 

Yeah, I also saw Verena Mei waving. She must be the drifter!

 

Yea it was definitely a Z.....I caught it too. I believe it had a nismo wing on it as well, but I'm not sure.

 

Watching it right now. The challenge is to drift the car around a table that has a block of cheese on it. The car is then attached to a cheese grater & they try to cut out as much cheese as possible as they go around the table. The orange Z also caught on fire! Verena is definitely cute though ...to bad she lost.

 

I watched it before too. Was pretty cool...I gotta say, the Nismos looked great in motion!

I saw that last night. That was pretty lame. Or maybe cheesy is the word! Enjoyed seeing the Z's though I thought the show would be more interesting but it wasn't

 

That show was total crap. Verena Mei VS Tanner Faust drifting while shaving cheese off a block. I don't know about you, but that seems like it definitely doesn't give import cars any credibility. What's worse is the announcing of it all and how the keep talking about how dangerous it is.

 

Did anybody else notice that the announcer was talking about the car when Verena got in to start hers (nice color choice BTW) and said that she was about to unleash 250hp? What is that some kind of special cheese stunt tuning the Z's have now? Less power = more control for doing donuts

Maybe the premise of the contest was "cheesy" but man, I thought it was pretty dern cool! It didn't exactly look easy to do, in a studio, either.
