I have Geico. The car is registered in my name, and its me and my car - no other drivers or cars. I pay like $898 every 6 months. I am 23, and I live in CT -- close enough to NY. I have had my license since I was 17.5 and I have a perfect record. *knocks on wood*

I just bought my Z on Monday, I'm just about 20. My insurance was going to be $2100/yr if I stayed on my parents plan, but I can't because the car is entirely mine. I'd have to add one of them as an owner. So...they quoted me for a new plan by myself and it was $5100/yr!!! Ridiculous! I think I'm going to go with Geico, I got a quote from them a couple months with me being the only one on the plan, and I gave them Z details that I was anticipating on buying. I actually ended up basically buying what I predicted. The quote was like $230/mth. Geico here I come...

Q: How much will my insurance cost? How much are you paying for insurance, I want to compare to see if I'm paying a fair price?

Please don't ask that question. Ever. It is the most useless question that can be asked on this or any other automotive forum. Why? What you, I and anybody else pays is dependent on several factors: who your insurer is, where you live, how old you are, how many accidents/tickets you've had, what kind of discounts you get from your ins. company, how many cars and drivers in your family, etc.

As you can see, unless somebody is in exactly the same socio-economic situation as you are, they won't be paying the same for insurance. The only way to get a decent idea of what you'll pay is to call your current insurance agent or visit their website.
