Personally my Z is stock right now... I'm not really planning on doing anything big on my Z... Most likely just stuff for looks such as rims, body kit, ect... and possibility the JWT Popcharger?

Stock but the previous owner installed a nismo cai. My old car was an n/a eclipse that I turboed and it had a LOT of work done so I feel the modding bug was expended with my eclipse. I'm happy with my Z power wise now.

The previous owner of my '03 Touring made the three mods listed in my sig:

an AEM cold air intake, a Borla exhaust, and a B&M short throw shifter.

Other than that, it is STOCK and I don't like the shifter. It's very noisy especially in 2nd and 4th.

I've only paid $100 for my mods which I don't mind at all. I'll be up to $200 soon which isn't that bad.

100% standard. I'm happy with it that way, I've never been into modifying cars.

The only mod i would urge you to get is an intake of some sorts. JWT not only made my car run smoother, if i baby it on freeway i can get about 4-5 more mpg now.

If you've ever been passed in traffic by a fellow Z owner who has done some mods/upgrades you might be singing a different tune. Like you, I thought why waste cash on a $30k car that's faster than anything I've owned previously. That was until a red modded out Z passed me up on 495 S one day. I had my windows open and could hear whatever he'd done to the engine and exhaust and even though we had the same car I almost felt ashamed in my regular stock model...

I've only had my '06 about 3 weeks. After joining this forum I think I want to get a JWT popcharger (even though I'm not sure what the difference is between a cold-air intake and popcharger). My only worry about the popcharger are the reports of the engine just shutting off. I'm also considering the plenum spacer..if I can find more information on it. At this point I only plan on popcharger, plenum, exhaust. That should be enough mods for me...keywork "should"

Like mentioned above, most Z's on the road are stock and I enjoy that mine is different. I also like the performance gains I've gotten and I think my gas mileage has actually improved.

I had a chick in a DB Z completely destroy me when I first got my Z. Like I was standing still. I think she had a Vortech. her car sounded mean. Just a couple of days ago I had an S4 Kissing my bumper through some turns and I couldn't get away. He was tailgating me so bad It would have gotten violent if my GF wasn't in the car. Situations like this make me want a faster car or to make my Z faster. I am not a street racer. I almost never race. I would however like to surprise someone who thinks they can pick on me cause their S4 has 340 HP.

I'm completely stock after 3 years...not even an s2000 antenna. My stock antenna even got stolen and I replaced it with another stock Z antenna. I would love to mod but there are a few concerns

1.Warranty
2.cost of mods
3 . Not knowing if I'll want a different car and then lose money on the mods when I part out
4. overall reliability an practicality of my 03 Z.

All stock, for now. Will probably get some new rims in the near future and possibly add some accessories (driving/fog lights, carbon fiber dash trim, etc.), but no plans for any engine upgrades.

Those mods are the best start. You see some great gains. I haven had any problems with my PopCharger. The PopCharger is like a short-ram air intake. The benefits are that it gives the same power gains & cost less than a CAI. It is also a lot easier to clean the filter. You won't be disappointed.
