Sorry to hear. So it sounds like they're at fault? You had the green and went and hit them when they were in the intersection stopped? They suddenly stopped or something? I mean.. you didn't have time to brake?

So you basically rear ended someone and it was 100% your fault.

They weren't supposed to stop, but you weren't supposed to run into the back of them either.

Sorry about your troubles. Pay attention when you drive and silly things like that won't happen.

doesnt matter what they did.... they could have stopped got out and pissed and then got back in.... its your fault.... pay attention behind the wheel and stay far enough back that you have time to stop.... if you dont understand that its nobody elses fault but your own then maybe you shouldnt be driving, how old are you? must be very young if you dont understand the rules of driving.

your grammar tells on you.... you must be a young kid and your driving skills and blaming things on others back it up.

fact is YOU REAR ENDED HIM!. doesnt matter if he stopped in the middle of the road or not...YOU ARE AT FAULT......YOU WERENT PAYING CLOSE ENOUGH ATTENTION AND HIT HIM...... should have been looking infront of you and not looking in the mirror popping zits....

we dont need to be there to see it.... you explained what happened just perfect.... yes it sucks..... but, it was your fault. pay closer attention on the road

It could've been worst, they could back up into you and claim it's your fault. Either way, it's a bummer.

One of my friends bought a brand spankin new TL last fall. He was merging onto the highway on his way to work one morning when the car in front slammed the brakes to a complete stop. His right bumper, headlights, and fender were damaged.

Cops came and concluded it was a no fault accident and no tickets were given out. My friend ended up paying for his repairs when he barely had his TL for a month.

It will nearly always be the fault of the person who hit the person in the rear.
I think one of the few exceptions is when a lane change is involved. If you are maintaining a proper distance from the car in front of you and someone cuts you off and instantly slams on their brakes and you hit them, I think you would have a pretty strong case against that.

That's not how it works. They may have been stopping for an animal crossing the road, a pedestrian, an emergency vehicle, another car in front of them, they could have been having car problems. You have NO idea why they stopped, and it's not their fault for 'stopping'. Give me a break.

9 times out of 10 when you run into the back of someone you had your head where the sun doesn't shine. If you don't wake up and start driving, I'm sorry to say, but this won't be the last time something like this happens to you.
