Default redlining?

how often do u guys redline your z? for me, i'll do a wot blast thru 2nd gear when i hop on the freeway almost everyday. i baby her and all but its just too fun! she never complains!

not too often, I ussually shift around 5-6000 when pushing it. the extra power is ussually too much for the curvy streets I drive on.

yeah, i shift around 6200 when i push it. maybe the title should've been "pushing your z" instead of redlining. she's too much fun

I go to redline a couple times a day, but normally, when I'm just driving nonchalantly, I shift around 4000-5000, and 5000-6000 usually when I'm feeling like having a little fun. I only really take it to redline when I'm taking off from a light and the speed limit is like 45 and there's a straight stretch in front of me.

No need to redline the Z. I shift it at 6200rpm to get maximum hp. Just let the torque do the work.The torque curve is almost flat. I'm impressed with the VQ engine.
