Hell... only if mine didn't come with 2 holes drilled in the front. It was on there before and i didn't have a choice in stopping the dealership from putting it on there. Suggestions?

I took my front plates off, then ziptied them to the grill. As for the holes, you can do a quick fix with nylon plugs which you can buy at Home Depot for 50 cents. I was going to paint it to match, but since my car is Silver Alloy, the unpainted white plugs pretty much blend in. It looks 10X better than having gaping holes.

I believe the size you want is .319 - they come in a lot of different sizes.

Buy two sets, since they're only 50 cents. You can put in one unpainted set, while you're painting the other with touchup paint. If you're a perfectionist like a lot of the other enthusiasts on this board, then you'll want it painted to match.

Mine in NC (which we don't have to have front plates) has a plate already installed. I decided since its already, I put a Panthers plate in the front. GO Panthers!

I did the same thing as ZedNewbie except I have a billet grill so I took the lisence plate mount that came from the dealer and drilled four holes in it for the zip ties to attach it to the billet grill and then just screwed the lisence plate to the dealer mount as normal. It looks great, like it was made to be there. As for the holes I used the nylon plugs from Home Depot and just primered them with primer used on plastic and then used the touch up paint from the dealer. Wham bam thank your mam... no more holes. One more thing, if you mount the plate off to one side like I did it doesn't block much air flow to the car. If you look behind the grill you'll notice that there is about 3/4 of a foot on both sides that are blocked from getting air anyway. So if you mount the plate to one side only about a quarter of the plate is blocking air flow. Hope this helps.

I'm never going to take them out so I put a spot of super glue on the back side of the plugs after I installed them.

What do these nylon plugs look like? What section on Home Depot are they located? I'm afraid if I ask a sales clerk, they wouldn't know what I'm talking about.

They look like plastic screws, without the threaded body. It's in the hardware section. The Home Depot I went to (in Marina Del Rey) had them stored in drawers.

In Cali, I know front license plates are a legal requirement. I got pissed off to find a ticket waiting on my 87 scirocco back in the day, cuz m front license plate was below the bumper and kind of tucked to a slant because that car was so low to the ground. It was a fix it ticket, I had to fab a stupid bracket on the bumper to get the ticket written off. In Arizona, no front license plate is needed, even though the motor vehicle has always issued two plates, i see many people just put their extra plate as a wall hanging decor whether in the garage or even in an office or home. my 06 Z came with all that front license bracket stuff, which i wont need anyhow, cuz the veilside bumper is on the Z now.

There is some guy actually I found at the az350z forum that has a custom front license plate bracket that is said not to mess up holes on your bumper.
i looked it up, its up to you cuz im just passing info. i dont know him personally but only as one email to him once about introducing his product to people.
zee bracket is his biz.... heres a pic off his site.

Funny you should mention that! I went to Wake Forest U and loved the fact that my car, old as it was, didn't need to have a plate upfront in NC. Since '04, I've lived in Denver, but thankfully, cops here could care less about the missing front plate. Have never been pulled over for that.
