new info, will try and update sometime
my dad had some time to kill somewhere pretty far away, and he decided to go to a nissan dealer and see what they had to say.
they said a company came buy and told them they made a fully retractable sunroof for the Z, and had pictures of it even. Im gonna call and find out if this was for real, and if so, Ill get the info since I know alot of you will be interested in it.
but before you get your hopes up, they also said nissan told them their would be 6000 convertables made, and they would be retractable hard tops... which we know isnt true. so this may all be bull crap.

I sooo cannot wait for the April auto show in New York when specs are released. I have been trying to get info out of my official links at Nissan HQ and it's like pulling teeth. A lot of smiles, shrugged shoulders... no comments.
I was told though, that nobody, not even dealers is getting the official word yet because they're trying to avoid what happened last year with info getting leaked early. Dealers aren't getting the news, press ins't getting it, nobody is. Even Autoweek's image of the roadster got out a few days before it was supposed to. It was in some subscriber's hands before Nissan released the images officially to the public. They were less than thrilled when this happened.
I guess some website leaked all the stats before anyone else, along with photos of the cars from renegade spy photographers. (well, photographer)
They're trying to avoid this again so the easiest way is to not tell anyone. Damn, I wonder who that website could have been?
