Default NEED HELP!!! Coil problem I think

Hey guys I have a problem with my car. First its a 2004 Roadster with around 40K. The other day when I started my car it sounded like it was missing a little but I was still able to drive it. I have since parked the car until I can figure out what is wrong? Do you think it could be a coil and if so what is the best place to buy them? I am taking it to a shop tomorrow so they can pull a code. Thanks your all your help in advance!

It could be a number of different things, you would have to pull the code to see whats going on. Could be something like a faulty sensor, doubt its a coil, if anything a fouled plug maybe. Make a visual check first of your engine and fluids. I would also look at the air filter and see if its clean. If all else fails take it to the dealer and have them look at it, MT or AT?

Its a M/T. My friend just ran it to a local garage and they said it was code p0300 which is a Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire. What could that mean?

I would deff check my spark plugs then, most likely they need to be replaced. Do you have any mods on your car?

Wow sorry to hear your having problems already. How many miles have you put on the car since you purchased it? Usually dealers offer at least 1000 mile warranty on all used purchases, if your lucky they might cover it. Go back to the guy who sold you the car and see what he can do, worth a shot, you never know? As far as plugs the NGK Platinums are already standard equipment on your Z, I would go with NGK Iridium Plugs. They are better then the platinums and cheaper due to the material they are made out of. Many of the FI guys use Iridiums, they just simply perform better. I had a set about a month ago which I sold on the forums due to the fact that I am going FI and need one step colder Iridiums, could have hooked you up

The engine is part of the drive train. The drivetrain has a 5 yr/60K warranty. Its covered under the new car factory warranty.

I completely forgot about that, my car has 65k, prob. why I didn't mention it LOL. You should be fine at only 40k, take it to the dealer and have them fix it, as long as its stock they should not give you any problems
