It would probably not be too unreasonable to estimate that the '06 Z is at about 282 (AT) and 295 (MT) with the new test. So, I guess the '07 peak is about a 10 HP gain over the '06 MT. Ultimately, though, it's the shape of the torque and HP curves which will be much more interesting than the peak gains.
thats probably a good assesment

no big diff. i wonder if it gained weight from extra wires (bluetooth) or lost weight. 5hp sucks but imagine if u add 2 intake, spacer, mrev, and exhaust its going to make some good amount hp imo. spacer and mrev probably have to wait til motordyne makes it.
wont the pop charger fit cuz its just the filter replacement.

My '03 was coming off lease and I was planning on grabbing an '07, but with the deletion of the track model, I think I'm just gonna build that FD3S I've been waiting on. Besides, a well-tuned RX-7 will smoke a Z around just about any auto-x, track, or drag strip... and it might even look better doing it.
See, here are pictures of the new UIM design. The location of the TB's look better for airflow and the top of the manifold looks like it doesn't pitch forward quite as much. Also, who knows what adjustments they made to the mouths of the runners.

Furthermore, the spacers/plenums won't work with the VQ35HR as it looks like they won't be needed with the new hood design. There was probably plenty of room for Nissan to even out the airflow themselves.
