On 26 Oct, the Nissan ordering system still did not list the 07 Z. The dealer keeps telling me November, but I check the dealership every Wed. on the way home from work.

 

So this dealer that wants my 2k just wants to see if I am serious or not? Since he can't even order it yet. Probably just trying to eliminate his competition. I'll give him 2k to make him feel better, but that doesn't mean I wont stop and settle for 2%, lol. I'ma try to see about 1.5% next.

 

I don't know about them Nissan dealers, but my cousin ordered a 2007 G35 a couple weeks ago and they some dealers only took a 1k deposit w/ a dealer offering 750 off msrp.

 

that's lil different from what i hear in here. One of the dealerships i e-mailed
said I could order 07 now and i would be under no obligation to get it
when car arrived too.

I read that somewhere else before but can't remember if it was on this site or not. My guess is that it will come out mid year and replace the track if it is to come out anytime soon. WTF they calling it a sedan for though? It got a backseat for throwing hoodrats into now?

 

I wonder if it will use the VQ35DE or the HR.

Do you have some kinda confirmation? Everything I've read say mid December before anybody will know anything. I hope you're right. I'm interested in taking a gander at the new colors.
Does anybody know what the "premium color" will be? another version of purple.. ala brickyard or interlagos? I don't imagine it will be the San Marino Blue since it is most likely replacing the Daytona Blue.

From the information I've read...

Carbon Silver replaces Silverstone (pretty stupid if you ask me, since it was the most popular color.)

San Marino Blue replaces Lemans Sunset
Solar Orange replaces Interlagos Fire

With it's name and what color it's replacing, my money is on Solar Orange being a color shift paint like Interlagos.

I was personally hoping for a green... but whatever. That blue sounds girly. The Orange sounds hideous. Some dude found a link on nissanusa.com a few days back saying the next version of Shift_2.0 is coming to the web in November... if you look at the lineup on the site as of today, all that is missing is the Z... so it should show up shortly. I'm not convinced the pictures from the O.C. autoshow are of the finished product. That fact that the people guarding the car wouldn't let anyone inside it or pop the hood is more than suspicious. Other than that hood, it all looks the same... but I've expected some sort of front end redesign to allow better air flow for the dual intake. 5 slats were rumored instead of the current 3. So yeah, I can't wait for the information as well.

 

So we're losing a color? seems to me they are 'in effect' dropping their purple/red color and color-shifting the orange. Bummer, I would have liked the color shifting one to be blue, green, or even marroon again. I would love to see a dark grey. Get the best of both worlds, class and cleanliness.
I've already decided on a touring with an aero package and Sirius, just waiting on January to see how the colors look in person. I would prefer to choose a color unique to '07 but its tuff to choose at this point without seeing them.

I'm dead set on Magnetic Black. No question. I've been ready to buy since August... waiting sucks.

 

Black is my 'default' choice. I love black cars but damn, do they get dirty easy. I'll have my 'hooptie' paid off by March, so if I order in January, takes 3-4 months to get here, I'll be stylin by spring time! I'm usually very patient but the suspense is killin me over here!

 

Pretty sure I'll be getting black as well. I take car of my Prelude like crazy, so I don't think I'll have a problem with the color =) I'd still like to see the new orange and blue colors before I make my final decision...

 

If the new blue is like a dark navy mettallic, I'd go for that most likely...
