Question Prices-going to a built motor

I have a TN ST and was wondering how much it would would cost to get a built motor including labor and all. And if the TN ST kit would be able to handle the horsepower that I want. Which is 500whp.

The reason I'm asking is I already have a lot of money into the car and want to know how much it will cost when I finally do blow my motor, and I'm guessing I probably will by judging what others have posted here. And if it would be a better idea if I built the motor before something broke or wait until it goes.

Your pretty close to the shop that might build my motor also, there very good and I have seen there work. Depending on when you plan to do this maybe we can get a deal for 2 built motors.
Do you have a budget set aside that your tring not to exceed?

Why would you want to drive a 500whp monster daily, and always in
worry that you are going to blow your motor someday? Well, if you already have some $$$, I suggest you to go build your motor along with TT = worry free. TN has potential to go 500whp but it's not safe to say that it will keep going strong with stock internals. Just let you know, the TORQUE # for ST will eat your motor with that 500 figure.. It's actually depends on YOUR motor that hold thatmonsterous HP figure, but don't bet on it - GO BUILD IT!
Oh, the price for built motor+FI will be around 15K-20K.

Listing you're current mods will help.

Here's a rough estimate from what I've gathered(curently have the same interest)

Short Block Assembled-$3500-$4500(depends on rods/pistons/studs etc.)
Fuel System- $1000.00
Engine Management0$500-$1000
Gauges-$300-$500
Clutch/flywheel plus install-$1000-$1500
Install Turbos and engine and tune- $3500-$4500
Video Camera for zo6/cobra/911tt/modena and other kills- $2-400

Total-$10- $12k

This assumes you're sticking with ST.
If you shop around for used parts you can probably save 10-20%.

Read through this. This will give you an idea of what the build will cost but labor is different throughout the country.

They build good engines at fair prices.
