I currently have a down payment ($300) at a dealership to search for a 350z Enthusiast coupe for me. I have been waiting for about 2 weeks now. I just wanted to know what the likely hood it would be for me to recieve the car by the end of the month? Are the 2006 still rolling off the factory line? The only reason for me sitting here waiting at this dealership is because they are offering the car to me after taxes and fees at 30k. Do you think its worth it for me to wait because of the price or should I go to a dealership where they have the car and try to haggle the price(currently offering the car at 30k w/o taxes and fees and a 40 mile drive). your help/comments are appreciated.
ask them to contact other dealers in your area for the model/color you want. They can/will trade w/ other dealerships to get you want you need. Thats how I got my Pikes Peak White 06' 350z... Sales manager gave me a great deal, but just didnt have the model/trim i wanted.... I was going to leave and he placed several calls.....found one at a competitor dealership and arranged for it to be at the dealer I was buying from within 2hrs. I could have easily found this one myself and went to the other dealer and they knew this... so did everything possible to get my business. Even if it meant getting help from another dealer. Believe this is common practice... 2 wks is too long in my opinion. Especially for a car that is not in limited production.
1) Unless one of the member/dealership salesmen respond, no-one here is going to know when you might get your new car. Why don'y you ask the sales guy at your dealership.
2) Unless its loaded to the hilt, $30K plus fees, tax, tags, and title isn't much of a deal. MSRP for a base Enthusiast is $29, 350, plus destination charges. And I'm sure any other dealer will match your deal.

MSRP $30445, including destination charge.
I paid $28990, including doc fee, tax, tags, and title.
I bought from a dealership 150 miles away. They delivered it, same day (5/29), no charge. (I think they wanted it in their May sales volume
)And one of the reasons I chose that dealership is they had the specific vehicle I wanted.

Dealers are able to pull vehicles from the regional area. Dealer inventory is current unlike the search at nissanusa. If the car is available, the dealer should know immediately, not in two weeks.
The price that you are being offered is not fixed (you signed no contract). Once the car is delivered, the price is negotiable.

Yeah once they deliver it then you can haggle them. Cuz I'm pretty sure they're gonna WANT to sell you the car badly after they went through the trouble of getting it transferred. Just be like....nawww I don't want it, and then they'll beg you to buy it hahaha.
