Thumbs up New Owner, New Story

Hi Everyone,

I have been an avid reader for sometime and have been a long time 350z lover ever since I picked up an issue of Motor Trend with the new 350z on the cover, back when I was in 8th grade. Fast forward to present, and soon to be a senior in high school and I am now a full owner of my very own 03 redline 350z.

Fortunately, my parents did not have to help me with a single penny,( I run my own online business) And for the past month and half that I have had my car, it has been the best time of my life and I enjoy working and spending every minute with it.

When we went to the dealer for the first time, I had never had a chance to see a Z so close and sit in one, and I won't lie, when I was 100ft away for the first time, I looked at the manager and said, "I'll take it", it was a young mans dream come true!

But I would have to say the only negative effect of the car is all the negative attention that it brings to me. I knew getting such a beautiful car would attract looks, but I never thought I would receive the ridiculous amounts of dirty looks and over hear people saying, "Daddies Boy, or Mommas Boy or spoiled brat"

But, the amount of girls it attracts makes up for that,

I know I wrote a lot, but I thought I would share my story and hopefully I participate more in some threads and posts!

Thanks,
Casey

Good choice, Redline is the best color, aye?
I was pretty young when I bought my first sports car too.
Worked very hard as a bank clark while studying, and earned every penny too.

Screw the spoiled brat routines, youve earned it bud.

At 32, I still feel like a spoiled Brat because I have a new 06 350Z,

enjoy it, stay safe though

Yeah dude, Im 19 and get the same reactions...and yes I paid for it myself...What I have realized is that some people understand that you can make good money when your young if you work hard, but there are some people who were born lazy and are still lazy and wonder, "Im 35 and I could never afford that, hes 19 and can, therefore his parents bought it", anyway you prolly get the point, anyways man its good see people with good work ethic other than myself...

I understand you completely. I'm 20 and I would have never been able to get my car if it wasn't for working two jobs at a time. Cleaning ****ters is the most horrible thing in the world and I hate being a janitor but being able to leave my job and get in a better car than most the people there is the best feeling. I work hard for my car, and my in return my car works hard for me.

Congrats on the new purchase... looks like you are doing very well for yourself if you can afford such a car at such a young age. Be mindful of the power and handling though, we have seen too many young guys try to show off and have unfortunate consequences.
