Default How much do you pay for your lease on a 350Z?

I was thinking 399 a month with 1000 down for 36k months is a good deal for a enthusiast Z. What about you guys?

I would never do a lease.
Too much money and you get nothing back.

car depreciate anyway, how much do you think a Z will be worth in 3 yrs, with 30K miles? $18,000, $17,000, is it really worth paying all that extra might as well drive it under warranty and then get another one

I think you'd have to put more than 1k down to get under 400 a month. That being said...I've never leased so what do I know?

You should buy your Z not lease it, leasing is a waste of money

Cars are a waste of money by nature. They are for transportation for most people and, for some of us, also a source of fun. They are not an investment. You are losing $ whether you buy or lease.

Back on topic, if you can lease a $30k plus Z for 36 mos for under $400 a month, that sounds like a good deal.

Consider a used Z with low mileage (still under warranty) such that the majority of the depreciation (when driven off the dealership lot) is already taken off and to your benefit. I will drive my Z until it blows, then I'll rebuild it and drive it somemore. Leasing isn't as bad as it's reputation suggests, but it isn't the best option either IMO.

I am leasing and I pay $499 with $3,000 down.

$399 would be an incredible deal, not sure how they would do that, since there really aren't any special offers on the Z.

i think thats a fantastic deal.. BUT, you will never get it

say the enthusiast Z is 30k OTD.. if you want $400 monthly payments, you need a $5k down payment (and good credit, preferrably 730+)

and to add a little bit to the lease vs. buy.. when you lease, dont worry about how many miles you drive over your "allowed" miles.. with that in mind, when you sign up for a lease, go for 10k miles a year so your payments can be approx $25 cheaper per month.. so now if you are in a 3 year lease (36 months).. drive it for 34 months, then TRADE IT IN for a new car. NEVER NEVER NEVER return the keys back to the bank.. if you do, you will be penalized for excess mileage and all sorts of other stuff.. drive it for 34 months, and trade it in, because a dealership ONLY cares about your car's payoff, and your car's value. therefore, any excess miles wont be penalized...further, when you lease, you only pay tax on your monthly payments, not the entire car's value.. lastly, if you decide to buy the car at the end of the lease term at your car's residual value, that value can be negotiated.

but to sum up.. lease the car, drive it like you own it, and trade it in early for a new car.

That doesnt sound like a bad deal as far as leases go.

Generally speaking leasing is a bad deal for the average joe, but for small business owners, its usually the best way to go for the tax benefits alone.

That may be what you're thinking, but this sound more like reality:

I am leasing and I pay $499 with $3,000 down.

you CAN NOT negotiage the risidual value of a car in a lease... that is very bad bad bad information. the residual value is determained by nissan based on what the term in months is and the amount of miles built into the lease.

this is what i was talking about in the pm dude... dealers already have a bad name and then you put bad information out there and it does nothing to better our name..

if you dont know what you are speaking of dont speak it..

its great that you are enthusiastic about selling. but stop putting information out there that is not true

Oh, yeah....when you return that car after 36 (or 34) months, with 75K instead of the agreed-upon 30K, they're just going to overlook it. They won't care that a 3 year old 75K car is worth substantially less than a 3 year old 30K car.

Does your dealership actually let you sell cars?

leases work out great if you can write it off on your business.

My lease on a Base Z with no money down (just the start ups) and 12k miles a year is $463 a month. I paid about $400 over invoice, so I got the car for roughly $27k. And my credit is excellent.

They don't seem to like leasing the Z's very much. I've gotten cheaper lease prices on more expensive cars in the past.

they wont penalize you for having more miles than you were allowed.. but of course the value of your car will be less if you have higher miles

your telling me that when the company starts calling you regarding the purchase of your leased car towards the end of your term, you cannot negotiate the residual? i hear it everyday, so ill double check on monday, but i will not take your word for it
