Do "older" people in this forum have a problem with an 18 year old driving a Z? I finance the car an appreciate the fact that my parents put down a downpayment as a graduation gift. It is not my first car by the way. I always hear people on this forum flaming on other teens becuase they drive a nice sports car, and most likely they probably are jerks an dont appreciate the car an have poor maintenance for it, maybe some dont deserve it and are spoiled ******, but not all of us are the same. Some of us actually work hard to make the payments every month, gas, etc. I do understand the fact that an 18 year old should not be driving a 30k car unless he/she has the will to work up to it and buy it him/herself, an also the fact that almost all of you on this forum or any other automobile forum work hard an buy the car yourselves, an i respect you guys for that an know that i should have done the same. thats all now..sorry for the b****ing.

Slightly on topic. I really like the Civic Si, I'd take one over an RSX if the Acura didn't have a better warranty.

No its fine if you work hard for the car, but I find it somewhat amusing that people give their kids 30k car for graduating high school...soooo if you don't graduate do you get flogged?

I graduated high school because I didn't want to work at McDonalds my whole life...I didn't expect anything in return for it...sure a nice car would have been nice and I wouldn't have refused it...but come on isn't that a bit much?

Now that being said you said you pay the monthly payments on the car, that is cool nice seeing a kid taking some responsiblity, I'm 24 and that is partly the reason why I'm so passionate about this topic, I saw kids in my class get new cars and turned out to nothing in life...where as I worked my *** off and I've owned 2 homes and now have a paid off Z. There is a lot to be said about having some responsiblity

The RSX will be faster round a track for equal money spent in mods.
then factor in the cheaper price for the car, and it could easily be considered a 350z killer. I've been thrashed by both DC2r and DC5r's around the track.

"lol omg type-s" in other words haha oh my god a type-s (i should've just typed that huh?)...not "like totally omg look at that type s there" ...happy? .. i swear some of you guys (camaro194) just find a way to flame on someone...an honostly if i do post stories about my car then whoopdeedoo, what are you going to do..cry, flame, tell the admin? Isnt that what this site is all about? Posting stories, information, helping other, an not bashing on them cause they come up with a "kid" story. I don't see anyone on this forum who really has a problem with the thread i just started, and if you guys do then thats my fault and i wont do it again. If you dont like the thread then just move on to the next one that catches your eye instead of taking the time to write down how you feel about every thread you dislike on this forum. And btw, you were 18 once in your lifetime, so understand where im comming from, just had a little fun the other night an told you guys what happened an thats it..didnt know the title of the thread would cause such a big problem. sorry just had to let it off my chest

I dunno why he's bragging about his "VTEC" when our cars already have variable valve timing, so it doesn't make him any better. The high redline is a different story eheh.

before purchasing my Z, i owned a 2003 rsx-s
hondata, comptech icebox, dc sports race headers, a'pexi n1 exhaust
and a few appearance mods. i could've easily beat a stock Z.
