A friend of mine told me he read something about Nissan making a retractable hardtop roadster? I told him I had heard nothing about it, and asked him if he was sure it was the Z. He said he was positive, but he couldn't remember where he read it.

I searched for any information on it, but I didn't find anything.

Has anyone else heard of anything like this??

 

The Miata is getting one, maybe he is confused? (Majorly)

 

I doubt it, the Z is already heavy enough, adding all that extra weight would be just too much.

 

I don't believe it; would require complete redesign.

But I'd love it myself....if it retained the basic Z good looks.
(I know that makes me a form over function guy but, hey, I can live with it)

 

I was talking to him online, and he said he found where he read it. It was on an Integra forum. Some guy said that he owned one. I hate people who BS about stuff that is impossible.
I also told my friend to please not tell me anything again unless he knows its true because now I am embarassed for even asking.

 

I think that would be really cool, but the current design i doubt would be able to do it.
