4 miles...got mine right off the truck too. tires, seats, pedals, and a lot of the car were still wrapped in plastic...was one of the best days of my life.
It is safe to say that when people do test drive cars today the sales person usually rides along{usually} so the car probably was'nt hammered on. Good luck.
You did not get a proper test drive then. I beat the crap out of the one I tested, eventually smoking the brakes. When I told them I'd buy one, I got another one.

You always test drive and beat up the car that you AREN'T going to get. For me, that was a lemans sunset one. i drove it pretty harsh at the dealer and the salesman told me that I was the first guy that drove the Z like it should be drive. he let me take it WOT up to 5K rpms up to 85 on the 210 freeway for a few minutes. i also took some tight aggressive turns off ramp and pumped the brakes hard.
just because he let me do that, i got a true feeling of how the Z really performed and handled. he told me , just drive it like how u would drive your own car at the track. afterwards, I decided to buy a magnetic black one with only 14 miles on it.
Wow... you must have gotten the non-testdriven unit from Nissan... Every Nissan vehicles (especially the Japanese built ones) come with about 7 miles on the clock when the dealer receives it...
Nissan test runs the cars before they ship it out of the factory, then they have to transport it through numerous ports, shipping companies, trucks, trains, ships, docks, etc...
Impossible to have a brand new Nissan off the truck with only 2 miles on the clock... maybe on the trip meter, but not the odometer...
I live in south Fla, near Miami, they found my car in Philadelphia, (after 1 1/2 months of wait) and they wanted to drive it down, I said HELL NO ... they flatbeded here....I had to wait another week but it was worth it..only 12 miles on clock
I think that would be almost impossible, because they move the cars in loading and such. Maybe so, but I have never seen. My FZ6 had zero, but bikes come in on crates.

HAHA...so you think. I had 3 mi after my test driveand i made sure that was the same Z I bought. Depends on the sales person. When i bought my mitsu 3000GT twin, the saleman took me out in a blue one (I was buying the white one) and HE TOLD ME to open it up and see what the baby can do. When I tested the Toyota SUV line, I took it over the curb (it was parked facing the road right at the curb) so he didn't have to move the other two behind it. I did it with the Rav, Highlander and 4runner. Depends on the salesman so it's not always safe sorry to say. Take it to the dealer and see what they say...maybe they'll cut you a break
mine had 17 miles on the clock. If you were sold a 'new' car with 300 miles on the clock it probably would have been wise to reject the car...but hind-sight is a wonderful thing
Mine had 170 on the odometer... it had been sitting on the lot for awhile...
No problems with it whatsoever... it just has this insatiable appetite for going fast.
I hope that your car comes out of the shop ok, let us know what happens.
