well, considering the Ford dearlship was 1foot from the MB dealer, which was 1foot from the BMW dealer, which was 1foot from the Nissan dealer, I figured why the hell not

it was an 04/05 e55 wagon - amg s/c'd, almost 500hp, etc.. etc.. - i also didn't know they made e55 wagons, i thought just sedans. Who knew *shrug*

I'm almost afraid to ask what he's driving NOW! Maybe a cool used '86 Nissan Pulsar with the SportBak Package ...Turns the Pulsar into a station wagon!!! WOW!!!!

STILL can't believe Nissan EVER made such a piece of crap like this

Why the hell are you looking at mustangs and 350Z's when you can afford something like a mercedes SL? Shouldn't you be looking at the acura NSX instead of the Z, and a dodge viper instead of the mustang GT?

If you can afford the SL, then why not just save yourself a lot of money and buy a corvette Z06, you would have to be insane to find that thing slow.

there wasn't an Acura dealership 1 foot from the MB dealership; read above

Yeah, because none of you americans have every posted anything silly before.

To the original poster: Yes, the 06 verts are heavier, but I think the engine on the Zed has a break in time, so that could contribute to it feeling slow.

+1... With the price range you have why would the Z even be in the list? Go for a Porsche or the Z06. Or you could wait a year and get the Skyline R35

others:
05 mustang gt 'vert - felt dog slow. I've never driven a new GT so I was expecting a lot, but it just didn't have anything in it. maybe because it was a convertible

0?5? E55 AMG wagon - felt fast, but a lot slower than I was expecting -> again maybe because it was a wagon and all that extra weight?

04 M3 cab - again, felt fast but a let down from what I was expecting (SMG was cool though)

0?5? SL55 AMG - very fast; faster than I thought it would be

Kind of a let down from what I was expecting...........should just get a blown 427 shelby cobra replica and be done with it :word: (or an 03/04 cobra :nervous: )
people like this shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a performance car.

I don't think so - it had like 9000miles on it....so it'd been beaten pretty good from other testdrivers, haha. I don't know, maybe it's just all the added weight + stock performance *shrug*

That's right, darn those rich people who can buy anything they want; they should be relegated to driving Yugo's until they can memorize everything about a car, from it's compression ratio all the way down to where the bolts on it were manufactuered

The gas pedal is that long skinny one on the right. If you pressed it in the Z you wouldn't have started this thread.

You seem like a person that wouldn't be happy with anything your purchased, no matter what your buying. Remember no matter waht you buy something will always be faster than you, it's all about being practical and that is what the Z brings to the table.

Aslo, what you need to keep in mind is that speed is nothing without control. I have a 98C5 but I am selling my car to get a Z. Why you might as; becuase the 350Z is practial, relaible and the price of gas these days in a Corvette is insane.

So while you were dissappointed, many are thrilled. I have never purchased a car (15 total) that has ever been as fast I wanted it to go. If you want a fast ride get a ZX11 Kawasaki or strap a rocket on the back of your car.

R,

Free "just bustin your *****"

P.S. If you do buy a FORD Cobra, while they are fast, wait until you see the bill to replace the Supercharger. Also, Mustang Cobra will be worth 10 Coconuts in about two years time. You need to be thinking about value, buying a car is a investment in the long term.

Having a fast car can also mean it depreciating fast too, and that's what all ford cars do. I had a ford onece (91 5.0 GT) and it wore badly through the years, but I just had to have it. Never again, you need ti buy something that will last and serviced easily and won't tear a hole in your budget.
